  • Progress in Outside Environments-School, home, etc.

Method

This is a 12 week program that happens twice a year (spring and fall). The students come for a 60 minute session that includes a designated horse and instructor. By designating the same horse and instructor every session, we give the student more structure and the opportunity to build a stronger trust relationship. Every student has their own individual needs and goals to achieve. Success is measured on the individual’s accomplishments and milestones throughout the sessions.

Students will assist to the best of their ability in leading, grooming and saddling their horse before and after their ride. This will build a sense of accomplishment in the student. In the mounted portion of the session, the student will be given movement exercises to utilize small and large motor skills and core muscle movement.
